"Special" Melody shines in last Glens Melody blew away her opposition in the concluding bumper at Tipperary to take her career tally to three from three. The Willie Mullins-trained 8/11 hotpot (from even-money in morning) settled behind the leaders early in the two-mile contest before taking closer order turning for home. Patrick Mullins asked his mount to claim front-runner St Maxime over a furlong from home and she soon quicked clear. The King's Theatre filly pulled away in great style in the final furlong and was soon eased down to record a hard held seven-and-a-half length victory. "I haven't sat on many like her - she's quite special," said the winning rider. "She's got loads of gears and also has stamina - she proved that to win at Punchestown.
